We’ve launched a blog (Initiate slow clap sequence)

Greetings! Welcome to Paracosm’s fantastical blog.

We plan to use this little corner of the interweb to share our insights into the 3D-tech-o-sphere. I know what you’re thinking, that’s not even a real word.  Well, get used to it.

We love inventing new things, new words, and we’re, uhhhh, making it up as we go so, in the words of Steve Buscemi’s character, Rockhound, in the 1998 sci-fi rom-com classic Armageddon, just “embrace the horror.”

In all seriousness, we do have a plan. Our blog aims to provide a fresh take on the latest in handheld 3D scanning & reconstruction technologies, augmented reality, virtual reality, robotics, artificial intelligence and various other tantalizing topics.

Some noteworthy titles in the works are:

  • Dude, Where’s My Holodeck?

  • 10 Things I Hate About Markers

  • There’s Something About Markerless Tracking

  • One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Mesh

  • A Nightmare on Localization Street

The contributors of this blog are our elite force of engineers, hackers, hardcore gamers, 3D artists, and other wildly genius members of our team. We promise to do our best to make this blog a touch more interesting than your smartphone’s user manual.

So bookmark this blog or suggest it to a friend/colleague who will. Let’s pump up the choir already! Of course, we want to hear your thoughts, ideas, questions, jokes, perspectives — and certainly more about what you’d like to see us cover.
